- How often does SEFA train?
- Our programs train two days per week, with additional optional sessions available through our Skills Center and specialty programs.
- Where are your training locations?
- We train across Burnaby, New Westminster, and Coquitlam — most families are within a 15–25 minute drive. See our Locations page for fields and addresses.
- What league does SEFA play in?
- SEFA competes in the Academy Super League (ASL), with games on Saturdays and Sundays across the Lower Mainland.
- What ages do you coach?
- Ages 2 to 18, in three tiers: Mini Stars (2–4), our core age-group programs (U6–U15), and the Elite program (U16–U18).
- Do you run year-round?
- Yes — SEFA runs year-round across fall, winter, and spring/summer blocks, moving indoors and outdoors with the season.
- Can my child join if they already play for a club?
- Absolutely. Many SEFA players also play for their community clubs — our academy training complements club play and does not conflict with club game schedules.
- Do you travel to tournaments?
- Yes. SEFA teams compete in local and international tournaments throughout the year, including PacNW events.
- What's the difference between an academy and a club?
- An academy focuses on individual player development with professional coaching, while a community club focuses on recreational team play. The two work together — academy training makes club players better.
- Will academy training conflict with my child's club schedule?
- No. Our sessions are scheduled to complement club play, not compete with it.
- Where are games held?
- ASL games are held at fields across Metro Vancouver on weekends.
